    educational video!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! watch it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:

    1. how much of a fetish game should be a specific fetish? are there problems with having too much of a fetish-sandbox? (ex: fen games have tons of fetish tags)

    2. what is a trope that you dislike?

    3. thoughts on bikini armor?

    4. where is atomic bob...

    5. quick, banjo has been captured by intergalactic porn space pirates that are only playing carnal souls for the gameplay/mechanics and the ONLY way to save him is to give an idea for an interesting yet fun mechanical/combat change, what do you offer?
EX: breaking armor, recharging enchantments, being forced to sex every creature you summon, etc.

    6. do you know the muffin man?

    7. what do you think of the intricacies of bimb-ology?

"About damn time" comes to mind. :p The space station missions were probably integral for further ambitions, but ever since the space shuttle took over it seemed like their priorities narrowed drastically (notwithstanding the Mars rovers). I'd say maybe this will finally shut up the Moon Landing Hoax crowd, but then, the Flat Earth Society is still a thing. o_O

    1. I mean unless it's built around a specific fetish from the start, you want it to have general appeal. At the end of the day, it all boils down to whether a) it all meshes together in a logical way, and b) a consistent quality is maintained throughout. Given how outlandish it can get, Flexible Survival does a good job of balancing extreme niches against the "common ground", and you're rarely caught by surprise if you're paying attention; compare that with TiTS, where the BDSM has bled into so much that if you were to employ a content-gate like FS, you'd basically Thanos most of the scenes.

    2. I gotta pick one? :p Avoiding the low-hanging fruit, I'll say Liar Revealed—I've very rarely seen it used as anything more than contrived Act III drama, and since the audience knows it's coming since Act I it's more grating than anything else. Like, Madagascar 3 has the gang do friggin' Cirque du Soleil, which you would think more than legitimates them—but nope, gotta hammer in that Dramatic Tension and split the party right before the climax.

In terms of lewds, physically popping the cherry. Granted I had to do a lot of digging to figure out how the hymen actually works, but the idea it's some sort of freshness wrapper that must necessarily be ruptured the first time is an outdated myth.

    3. Setting aside the obvious deficiencies, not actually implausible. Either way, Benji's on the right track. ;)

    4. Passerby ate him.

    5. Since I've been on a Shadiversity binge lately, a refactor of how armour works. IIRC Flexible Survival applies armour as a damage reduction modifier, rather than the usual chance-to-hit.

    6. I'm saying nought without my solicitor!

    7. It is far too advanced a science for my humble brain to comprehend.

BONUS: If I stare at the GIF long enough, maybe I'll be able to decipher it through sheer rote impression. :p

I basically echo Dolfuss on the video, though I'll add that with everything going on in the world at large right now (my own country especially), this video has made me very happy. Kinda needed that today, so thank you. Best news I've heard in a long while.

    1. Depends entirely on what kind of game the devs are setting out to make, really. I'd say anything's fine as long as it fits within the game's narrative at least a little, but really it all comes down to what they want to make. It's like asking how much of a smut artist's gallery should be X. The answer being, as much as they want it to be, really.

    2. Tropes don't really annoy me as much as overusing idioms. Especially in fantasy writing, unless you're trying to make a character sound out of place, don't use them. Like hearing a knight say 'Well, back to the drawing board', or an ancient demon say 'Speak of the devil, hur hur' or something. 'Actions speak louder than words', 'The whole nine yards,' 'Don't beat around the bush'. They drive me crazy.

    3. I don't really like games that throw in bikini armour as if its as effective as its immeasurably more practical male counterpart. If it's a bikini make it a bikini for everyone, cowards.

    4. I know not. :[

    5. *Lurks with a notepad ready to jot.*
Re: @Dolfuss' response, in DnD I've played usually AC's chance to hit we tend to narrate as hits that don't penetrate if the roll is close to the AC. So if your armour's 18 and they roll a 16 to hit, we usually say it hits you but your armour saves you from any damage (plus it can mean nice memorable damage to gear to get repaired later).

    6. I am the Muffin Man.

    7. A field worthy of study. I've already sent an email to NASA that we should first establish a bimbology lab on the moon before anything else.

Bonus: Man, I remember spending hours in RaceMenu's facial editor only to have it crash and lose most of what I'd done. Now I quicksave presets compulsively.

this is a big post boys, saddle up before you read

    1. i would prefer if it was 921% fetish because if i wanted boring lame basic things i would just go outside

    2. if mary sues count as a trope, then that

    3. there needs to be a revolution.
    sure, bikini armor is alright
but what about cursed bikini armor?
"but larry, that one sentence does not explain anything that your about to say!"
imagine, you reach the end of a dungeon filled with bandits
...but all the bandits are wearing bikini armor
throughout the dungeon you see notes and overhear conversation about the cursed bikini
legendary note example: "the bikini has been glowing for about 2 nanoseconds after i touched it, as i speak, my own armor is shrinking and becoming surprisingly attractive" -forgotten namesake
legendary conversation example: "trudy, i cannot believe that bikini tried to fly onto my body with its magical fantasy powers!" "wow becky, that sounds crazy, so glad we left it in that giant chest sitting at the end of the dungeon!" -trudy and becky, before being bested in combat by the PC
(of course, if becky and trudy defeat you in combat, they sacrifice you to gods, probably forcing you to put it on)
then, after this entire escapade, you reach the end.
the bikini chest, glowing and moving in anticipation
    your presented with 2 choices
    open, dont open
(like a normal chest) (and since this was a greatly foretold event, a non-consensual tf choice is clear and presented)
if you open it, the bikini flies onto you, even if your fully armored (imagine a big suit of armor with a bra on top lol)
from now on, the bikini transforms every armor (including the one your already wearing) into bikini armor
    ...genius
easily implemented by replacing words and stats.
"hide armor of the dragons den +15" ---> "hide bikini armor of the dragons cock +15"
    10 armor? ----> 10 sexiness and... 3 armor

wow, now thats sexy, somewhat consensual, and genius

    4. i miss you brother

    5. i feel like that bikini pitch up there was pretty great but...
    spellswords for simpletons
    the sneaking curves
    ...armor breaking teehee

now spellswords are cool, i think we can all agree on that.
so how come games dont have support for them?
for just 20% love energy a month, you have a minuscule chance of getting this very idea into carnal souls:
one enchantment spell lasts for the entire combat duration
oh what? i want to put fire on my sword?
i cast... fire enchantment, with this, my sword will be on fire for the rest of the battle!
thats super cool, and if my sword already has a fire enchantment, it just has even more fire! who doesnt like fire?
and now, im a spellsword! all i need is a free hand and a fire ball! wow! what a great, easy solution

oh no, me, the spellsword, is being snuck up on by a dangerously curvy nymphomaniac!
how do i know? because the clap of her butt cheeks can be heard in every step!
sneak debuffs if your too thick or too lusty
you have 3000 lust and 3000 cum production? the enemy can hear the drip!
are your boobs such amazing milk factories that you can literally hear them being filled? YOUR LOCATION IS REVEALED TO THOSE WITH GOOD EARS!!!!!!!!!!!!
that is, completely, WILD! AND IT MAKES COMPLETE SENSE? (right?)

oh no, that very same dangerously thick nymphos armor just broke into many pieces in front of my very eyes!
the complete, destructive force of her monstrous titties was too much for her non-1 size fits all armor! the armor was propelled with such force that i must use my handy spellsword spell in order to block it! this was such a good idea! wow!

    ...yeah

    a shocking revelation
    how will our heroes react?

    a bimbology lab...

    what a great idea :)<

on these character creation gifs i used to take screenshots of the parts where i took racemenu screens lol
i also compulsively save every couple changes just to make sure, even though i dont crash often

you talk about flexible survival so much that a piece of my soul tells me i should try it every couple weeks

what if the galaxy is like plates in the air

    agreed

that would explain his disappearance too... hopefully they're locked in a never ending battle of life and death between afro and dragon.

Depends on a lot of different factors. If it's a project without fan funding, then it mostly boils down to how attractive the creator want the game to be to a general audience, versus how much they want their own fetishes to be represented.
On the other hand, fan funded games need to just generally follow the expectations set up by the sales pitch.
I think that "fetish-sandbox" is a big part of this genre and pretty much the default expectation if nothing else is specified. Obviously the downside include an almost infinite development scope, and having to deal with ways for players to steer the experience towards their own preferred content and away from content they object to in one way or another.
For the player there's really no downsides. It's kind of what you sign up for when playing games of this type, rather than narrower scope games.

Haven't given it much thought really. I'm sure there are plenty that come up as I consume different types of media.
The one I hate so much that I actually remember it is the trope of misunderstanding perpetuated by characters apparent inability to communicate with each other.
When entire plot arcs are driven exclusively by something that is a non-issue and which would instantly vanish if people talked to each other. That's shit that makes me drop entire series.

Combat armor? Nah. Protection against the elements, scratches and bruises? Sure.
I understand that in lewd worlds where sexual enticement is a big thing, there is a place for "sexy armor". But when that "armor" stops functioning as effective armor there is no longer a need to keep making the "armor" out of plate or ring mail. There is a cut off point where it stops making sense to wear materials that no longer serves a purpose other than making the outfit heavier, harder to maintain and less comfortable.
If you want to wear a sexy outfit and still fight, do it in a way that makes sense.
Want to wear a loin cloth and/or barely anything on your torso? Get a big fucking shield, and some arm and leg guards.

At home I assume. Without knowing exactly I think that's the safest bet.

    In-combat transformation.
Were[whatever], draughts with useful temporary combat transformations, magical artifacts with transformation effects, "hulking out" mode etc.

I have no idea what you are talking about.

I try not to think about it.

I just recently pushed myself to re-mod Fallout 4 again for the billionth time. Of course it crashes when I'm finally done customizing the face of my character. First world problems...

fallout 4 is probably the least stable bethesda game lol. poorly optimized garbage
(fun fact: the high res texture pack is around 80 gb? disgusting)
(...and one of the worst bethesda games in general)

Uh-oh, I think Larry's going through water withdrawal.

Updates every month, though the nature of Inform makes porting saves somewhat cumbersome so I usually just start the game fresh.

FO76 takes that as a challenge.

Yeah, you think it's all memes but it's actually thoroughly researched. His coverage of the Balloon Boy case gave me chills—heads should have rolled for that Gestapo shit and yet the family is still painted as the guilty party.

Ironically, that was also the only time it crashed.
This most recent time has been so crash free that it is slightly jarring. I don't know what happened, if every mod maker suddenly figured out how to make stable stuff or if one of the actual Fallout 4 patches since last I played actually fixed the game.
Aside from the patches they've rolled out, the only real difference is that I did everything through Vortex. Despite some modders shitting on Vortex for some reason, I found it really easy to use and with the least amount of extra work required to get everything up and running, compared to NMM or MO2. Once I figured out where to run Bodyslide from, which I had to do with the other mod clients as well, it was all smooth sailing.
I even feel like the load times were shorter.

Taking everything into account, I actually think Fallout 3 was worse.
Fallout 4 may have had awful characters and pretty bad main story. But the main story of Fallout 3 was even worse in my opinion, and it also had the worst gun play of any game I have ever played. Combat in Fallout 3 was torture. The setting for Fallout 3 was also pretty dull and uninspiring.

Depends on the game, I guess and what the developer is aiming for. If the fetish-sandbox is balanced with the taste of the players, I don't see anything wrong with it.

Armoured Closet Gay sucks. I don't know what it is, but it feels pretty predictable when it happens and it just kind of feels gross when the guy that bullies the gays was repressed and gay himself

It's hot, but is it safe? Probably not...
Nowhere to be found, but it looks like he was on last on the 8th of may... When did he last post....?
Guns. Just have some technological evolution at some point in the game that leads into 1800s style guns or something. I don't think that would actually be good at all, but maybe they would want to collect all the guns in the game...

I don't sadly. I eat more brownies than muffins even.
I like bimbo stuff, but I'm not sure how I feel about like perma-bimbo personalities. I guess, bimbos are hot in sex scenes, but outside of sex scenes, it's just kind of sad that they're just a bimbo even outside of sex.

    Cute!

Lilith's Throne has a hybrid approach where ranged weapons use arcane essence as ammo. As per its Victorian aesthetic, Lyssieth's palace introduced demon guards with guns (originally spoofing pith helmet redcoats, now more akin to the BEF).

Hrrm? Been a way for a "while." What's this, then?

    1. Depends on the game and the audience.

    2. The Deus ex Machina.

    3. It's useless.

    4. Only he knows.

    5. Have certain tf's carry drawbacks. Like harpy wings that improve mobility at the cost of hands.

    6. No.

    7. I don't believe there even are any intricacies!
